In February 2015, Claudie Brassard, founder of Nos Cabanes, began her journey into Quebec's terroir, which led her to maple syrup. By visiting local markets and connecting with producers, she discovered their rich family histories, often spanning generations. These findings and relationships inspired her to create a business showcasing the qualities and beauty of this traditional Quebec product.

At the end of the road, at the top of the mountain, is the rustic sugar shack, where everything is done by hand. With no electricity and no cellular network, it's a genuine return to basics. For the past few years, the owners have been tapping their 2,000 maple trees and learning the trade themselves. They are reviving the hobby that once occupied many an evening and night, and are already dreaming of passing it on to their grandsons.
